Katsina Holds Emergency Security Council Meeting Amid Rising Insecurity

Acting Governor Malam Faruk Lawal Jobe is currently presiding over an emergency security council meeting at the Katsina State Government House.

The high-level session brings together heads of major security agencies in the state, including the Army, Defence Headquarters, Department of State Services (DSS), Police, Immigration, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Customs, and the Federal Road Safety Corps. Also in attendance are the Katsina State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, alongside prominent religious leaders.

Discussions at the meeting are centred on the worsening insecurity in Katsina and measures to strengthen security operations to safeguard lives and property. Officials say the aim is to chart a comprehensive strategy that ensures safety and sustains the state’s stability and development.
